Liquid calories can sneak into our diets without us realising it, potentially leading to weight gain or challenges in managing our calorie intake effectively.

Let’s see what are Liquid calories ???

Likewise, solid food calories and liquid  also contribute to adding calories. And these calories come from the macronutrients present in the liquid/drinks.

Yes you heard right “Macronutrients”. Drinks which give instant energy contain carbohydrates (simple and complex sugar) and fats (Essential fatty acids)

Simple Sugar : Sugary beverages like sodas, fruit juices, and sweetened teas contain simple carbohydrates in the form of sugars. These provide instant energy but can lead to spikes and crashes in blood sugar levels.

Complex Carbohydrates: Sugary beverages like smoothies, contain complex carbohydrates (comes from added fruits, vegetables, and grains.) It provides sustained energy and fiber, which further helps in giving good nutrition.
